The resource should be Subject Matter expert (SME) on Load balancing Technology, Routing and Switching and Network Packet Brokers operation,
The primary responsibility will be managing the 24x7 Network Support & Operation for Load-Balancing
You will work closely with the teams from Network Projects, EUS leads, NOC and other cross-functional teams who are managing systems and applications, to drive efficiency and improvements in supporting/managing the business.
Primary responsibility would be overseeing complete Load balancing and network Packet Broker operation.
Load Balancing Engineer with hands-on experience on F5 BIG-IP GTM and LTM devices as well as Citrix NetScaler.
Hands on experience in migrating other load balancer vendors to F5 Load Balancer
Must be an expert in F5 and Citrix Load Balancing platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
Should analyse, design, implement and maintain the networks F5 and Citrix NetScaler Load Balancer infrastructure.
Should inspect data packets and TCP, IP flow in network and application flow.
should possess a working knowledge of switches, routers, and firewall concepts.
Should be able to configure and maintain F5 and Citrix Load Balancers, load balancing best practices.
Should also take the responsibility to upgrade network operating systems software and hardware as per the management requirements.
Must ensure that the plans are integrated effectively with the other aspects of the technical infrastructure.
Extensive knowledge of Load balancing technology including algorithms and health check options.
Knowledge and experience regarding F5 BIG-IP LTM VIP configuration with health check.
Knowledge and experience with F5 BIG-IP GTM Wide IP configuration.
F5 BIG-IP iRule programming and troubleshooting experience.
Extensive knowledge of Citrix NetScaler VIP configuration with health check.
Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler Global Load Balancing (Gslb) configuration.
Candidate Must have extensive experience working in structured change management, Problem and Incident processes.
Candidate Must have production environment experience consisting of Global load balancing, Local load balancing, SSL acceleration, HTTP compression / caching, and DNS.
Candidate Must have strong Networking Experience - TCP / IP, Administration of networking hardware.
Candidate Must have design and maintenance experience with complex Web hosting network architectures.
Experience directly managing routers, switches, load balancers and SSL accelerators in a high-availability infrastructure is required.
Expert understanding of TCP as it pertains to packet inspection and network / application flows.
Expert ability to troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for system changes, as needed, to resolve issues.
must have integration / configuration / administration experience and possess a solid Network background including an understanding of switch, network routing, and firewall concepts.
The Load Balancing Engineer must possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows.
The Load Balancing Engineer must have a very good understanding of DNS functionality and concepts as it relates to IPv4 and IPv6.
Deep understanding of network protocols (Routing / Switching)
Design and implement Load balancing rules using industry best practices.
Communicate network architecture designs clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical decision makers
Perform security hardening of network systems.
Develop or contribute to technical documentation including Low Level design documentation, Technical Implementation document, deployment/build plans, and test plans.
Deploy designed solution within a testing environment to verify compliance with security and functional requirements.
Implementing F5 Traffic path switching (TPS) in addition to application-based load balancing
Provide cutover support when solution is deployed in production environment (Go Live).
Data collection, analysis and change recommendations of configuration
Collection and analysis of customer network information as well as packet capture.
Recommending corrective actions based on gathered data and its analysis
Ability to learn and apply new technologies, architectural, design patterns and latest solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving implementation issues.
Update skills regularly on the new technologies and attend workshops
Project documentation including solution document, plan of action and implementation document.
Hands on and depth troubleshooting skill on Routers, SDWAN, LAN, Campus, All routing technologies, Ipv6 and WIFI technologies.
Lead crisis/incident event management incidents as needed
Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements to network engineering, and assist in lab/ QA deployments for technology trials.
Direct the continuous and secure maintenance of the corporate, data centre, and cloud networking infrastructure, including network security and Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Plans.
Responsible for accurate assessment management of all network devices in CMDB
Responsible for upgrade, patches as required and meet all security & compliance requirements.
Ensure service level targets are met and address all service-level complaints.
Participate in disaster recovery/business continuity activities, as needed.
Establish standards and governance in future acquisitions to mitigate risk and maximize network stability.
Responsible for participating in Audits and provide information related to Network specific - diagrams, configurations, processes and procedures.
Responsible for remediation for any vulnerabilities related to audits.
Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers, program manage collaboration projects externally and internally.
Manage the software lifecycle.
Troubleshoot, design, and deploy iXia
Utilize APIs and automation for iXia and Arista systems
Administer and manage iXia the Switches!
Work with network switch, routing, tap and span
Collaborate with the team on troubleshooting and deployment tasks
Responsibilities
Hand-on and depth skill experience in recommending, implementing, maintaining, state of the art network hardware and software systems.
Network & Infrastructure experience specific to medium to large size organizations
Ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and motivated to support management initiatives.
Handle incidents on case-by-case basis.
Coordinate with OEM and vendor for any issue.
Find out RCA of major issues.
Current or held advanced network technical certification (e.g., CCNA/CCIE/CCNP, JNCIE/JNCIS, or relevant industry certification etc.
Experience or background with automation using Terraform, Ansible and/or Python will be added advantage.
Prior experience in multi-vendor networking technologies.
Demonstrated experience of metrics driven management with accountability.
This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 15% of the time.
Incumbents must make themselves available during core business hours and any on-call escalation after business hours.
